I received a call from the cardiologist this morning. The heart monitor recorded an event two days ago in the evening. The doctor told me that the event included both atrial fibrillation and atrial flutter. So, it’s official. I have a diagnosis. Not something I wanted, but it’s better to know.

I’ve not written previously about this, because I really didn’t know anything other than some smartwatch indications. Those indications included the AFib readings I’ve written about before, as well as some very low (30 BPM) and very high (159) heart rates.

26 OctI heard from the cardiologist that I haven’t seen yet. He reviewed the records I sent, and doesn’t think it was actually #AFib, so that is good news.
Maybe I can calm the panic attack that was building, and actually get some rest.
AFib?
26 OctI was sweeping and vacuuming the downstairs around 1pm today, and my chest started pounding. I was dizzy, short of breath, and overcome by fatigue.

23 OctI saw my endocrinologist this morning, in person, for the first time since the pandemic started. We’d been in touch via telemedicine / patient portal messaging, but it’s always nice to have that personal touch occasionally. His location is inconvenient, and he only sees patients on Monday mornings. He is absolutely worth the hassle.
