Insurance Approval for Surgery

I’ve been notified of the approval for my gender-affirming surgery!

… Health Plan has received a request on your behalf, for approval of: gender affirming orchiectomy (surgery to remove the testicles). After careful review of the request, the available clinical information, and your … coverage policy, the request has been approved. A letter will also be mailed with this information.

I’m crying tears of joy. It’s actually going to happen. All that’s left is the cardiology clearance and the scheduling of the actual surgery. Talk about trans joy!!!

And the journey continues!
