Today, I saw a new cardiologist.

This past June, I added progesterone to my HRT regimen. I was hoping it would help with natural maturation (and growth) of my breasts. And it did just that. After approximately eight months on progesterone (prog as we refer to it in the trans community), my breasts have matured from Tanner Stage 3 to Tanner Stage 4 / 5.
Continue readingEarlier today, I took a Covid antigen rapid test. It came back negative. This suggests that I have beaten Covid, with thanks to vaccines for making this very mild and of short duration.
Continue readingI went to urgent care this past Wednesday. I was not feeling well, and had been having symptoms I associated with a probable UTI. While I was there, I was asked if I would like to have a Covid and flu test. I agreed. No harm, right? Well, I didn’t have a UTI after all. Just the standard bladder stuff I was already dealing with. But there was news.
Continue readingThis past Wednesday, I went early to the hospital for a CT scan. It’s to eliminate various possible causes for the bleeding I experienced from my urinary tract. That has actually stopped on it’s own already. In an abundance of caution, the urologist still wanted to check. I’m fairly convinced it was a kidney (or bladder) stone passing. Continue readingIn the ongoing saga of my bladder problems, I saw my urologist today for a test to determine if BPH was indeed the source of my problems. The short answer is that is not the cause at all. I have to get a couple of more tests still.
Continue readingThis time of year, when everyone is joyous and excited for the holidays, is difficult for me. I have been single for over 14 years. Well, technically that’s not true, but the few flings in that time were fleeting and ultimately inconsequential. I am perpetually separated from family. They all live in Texas, which is a “Do Not Travel” state for people like me. If you missed that, you can see the latest risk map here.
Continue readingFollow up to my recent post about bladder issues. It seems likely that things are getting worse quicker than I had hoped.
Continue readingYesterday afternoon I saw my surgeon for the final wound check on my gender affirming surgery of 31-Oct. Everything was good as far as that was concerned. I really wish that was the end of this update, but it’s not.
The surgeon is also my urologist, and took this opportunity to perform a test for voiding dysfunction. I didn’t pass the test. Warning: Mild medical TMI.
