Are We Safe? The Implications of ICE’s Power

ICE is a rogue police agency that’s been given license to literally detain anyone they choose. Being a citizen is no protection. Carry your papers. Who knows when some armed thug in jeans and a face mask will come up on you and demand them.

Even the Nazis wore uniforms.

Due Process applies to everyone, or it applies to no one. If they can do this to American citizens of Latino descent, what stops them from doing the same to you? Are you cis-het, white, and male? No? Then you could be next.

Lessons Learned from Our Pennsylvania Excursion

Last week Jenni and I took off on Wednesday 23-April on an excursion to Pennsylvania. We went to gather my belongings from the home where I had taken refuge after that domestic assault in early 2024. It was an interesting trip. On the way there, our navigation app decided, on it’s own, to “Avoid Tolls.” We didn’t realize that had happened until we had already spent an extra hour driving back roads. We had assumed it was rerouting us to detour around some obstacle. By the time we realized what had happened and turned off that option, we were another extra hour getting back to the optimal route.

Important Recall: Testosterone Gel with Benzene Risks

Strides Pharma Inc. has issued a voluntary recall of its Testosterone Gel 1% products in both the United States and Canada due to the detection of trace amounts of benzene, a known human carcinogen, in certain lots. The recall affects both 2.5-gram and 5-gram unit-dose packets, widely used in gender-affirming hormone therapy for transgender men and some transgender women.

Reblog: Trans Elders Are Needed – Moriel’s Musings

I personally have remained active in the community since my transition back in late 2010. But I know many of the “elders” have gone stealth, and I understand that desire. I agree with Moriel though. Our community needs us. And we need them, especially now.

Today, though, there is an international movement to oppress us through the law and we are attacked nearly every day by transphobic politicians and activists. Today’s generation of people just coming to terms with their gender face a very hostile environment and have difficult obstacles to overcome.
