Oh this is good. Be sure you watch it all the way to the end.
Do you have her back?
13 Sep
With thanks to Ali at Scottie’s Playtime. I am absolutely with her. I was with Biden too, even as I began to wonder if he was up to the task at hand. Right now, nothing in the US political realm is more important than stopping the authoritarian, would-be dictator and his theocratic minions.
Minorities, and indeed our very democracy, are at severe risk if that man ever sets foot again in the White House. Minorities such as BIPOC, immigrants, and LGBTQ are (rightly) concerned about concentration camps. I’ve said before that I see the United States as on the threshold of a repeat of 1933 Germany. I truly do not see that as hyperbole.
Vote as if your life, and that of people you care about, are on the line. Vote as if our very democracy is on the line. Because they are.
The journey continues, at least for now.

11 AugI don’t even try to broach some of these topics. And while it’s largely “conservatives” who are behaving like this, I find that both sides are unreasonable on some topics, especially Israel and the Palestinian genocide.
Kamala Harris for President
26 JulIn 2020, I was not a fan of Kamala Harris during her run for President. Her history as California AG, particularly with respect to a certain transgender felon, struck me as highly negative. I bought into the hype.

24 JulThe past couple of days, I’ve been feeling a bit under the weather. Last evening, that changed from “a bit” to “a lot.”

15 JulThis morning, on his Substack, Robert Reich asks how we are coping with the news of the last couple of weeks. I answered him, and I’d like to share that answer here.
