I’ve made progress in finding new doctors since leaving Atlanta and settling here in my new home.
Continue readingLoop recorder implantation, and Shingrix
18 JanI called my insurance company (Medicare Advantage plan) about the procedure to implant the loop recorder. They quoted me a copay amount of $295. That’s the same cost as the (not yet rescheduled) echocardiogram.

16 JanI saw the electrophysiologist today. We spoke at some length about my symptoms, and the confirmed AFib diagnosis. Summary: He doesn’t think that AFib explains all of my symptoms. He mentioned Paroxysmal Atrial Tachycardia (PAT).

5 JanIn late December, I had my blood work done for the HRT levels. When the results came back, the estradiol level was well below optimal for trans feminization.

Those indications included the AFib readings I’ve written about before, as well as some very low (30 BPM) and very high (159) heart rates.
