The surgery itself was a piece of cake, as the idiom goes. But oh my, the post-op complications have been piling up. A few days ago, I wrote about my ER trip for urinary retention. I didn’t stress how dangerous that was. For those who aren’t aware, I was very close to possible death.

10 AugA certain klutz (not naming names) fell on the stairs last night trying to carry the recycling down to the garage, and out to the outside bin. It was only the last two stairs, but I ended up almost upside down.

2 MayTL; DR: The procedure was quite uneventful. I have an implant (or as my heart sister called it, an alien implant) in my chest. It’s under the skin of my left breast, which is tender and sore at the incision site.

26 OctYesterday, I went down to the local pharmacy, at 4pm, to get the current flu vaccine, and a Covid booster (Pfizer). Like with the Shingrix vaccine, the injections themselves were not a particularly big deal.

4 MayI am just home from my first orthopaedic appointment. My primary care doctor referred me because some of my pain, in her opinion, seemed more likely to be from a pinched nerve, or something of that nature, than fibromyalgia. All I did today was pickup an Rx and get some keys made. Drove 10 minutes each way to take roommate to train station and pick her up again. Basically, nothing.
It hurts so bad, and has for several hours now. I’m really worried it’s progressing so fast.
