Recently, I ordered two handmade ring sets from a seller on Amazon. Yes, wedding ring sets. They are lovely, and Jenni and I were greatly looking forward to their arrival around the end of the month. Yesterday, the trade war with China appears to have significantly affected my hopes of receiving those rings. EDIT: This is changing even as I was writing this post. The chaos appears to be the point.
Continue readingMy Experience Updating Gender Marker at SSA
25 JanDespite the Executive Order making me non-existent in the eyes of the US Federal government, I persist. This past Wednesday, two days after that order, I ventured into my local Social Security office to update my gender marker. There is no real point to doing so at this stage of my life, other than as a gesture of resistance to hatred.

21 JanYesterday, the President of the United States declared, by fiat, that I do not exist, and that my existence must not be acknowledged. My health does not matter, and my medical needs must not be covered. But I will not surrender. I will not lose hope. I will continue.
Continue readingMy Covid Experience: Testing Negative After Vaccination

Continue readingFrom Urgent Care to Isolation: My Covid Story
17 JanI went to urgent care this past Wednesday. I was not feeling well, and had been having symptoms I associated with a probable UTI. But since no stone was seen, a look around inside is appropriate. The order was for “CT with and without contrast.”
Continue readingNever Say Never
6 JanA good friend told me last year to “Never say never.” She was talking about love and relationships. I poo-pooed her admonishment at the time. The universe had other plans. Or as we pagans are prone to say “Make plans and the Gods laugh.”
Continue readingNavigating Bladder Issues as a Trans Woman
2 JanThis is going to be a heavily TMI post about bladder issues and unique challenges I am facing as a trans woman who has bladder problems. You have been warned, and this is your “Get Out of Jail Free” card. Eject now, for there will be no further warnings.
Continue readingHope in Odessa: Transgender Rights Win Against Bathroom Bounty
24 DecNews from Assigned Media: Odessa Texas “has now declared the [bathroom bounty] ordinance unenforceable, a step taken after voters ousted the council members and mayor who had pushed it through.”
Continue readingCoping with Bladder Problems: From Diagnosis to Management
23 DecIn the ongoing saga of my bladder problems, I saw my urologist today for a test to determine if BPH was indeed the source of my problems. The short answer is that is not the cause at all. I have to get a couple of more tests still.
