Today has been rough already, and it’s early afternoon. I didn’t sleep well. I was in bed from about 10pm until 7am. My sleep score (Samsung Health) was only 70. So barely a “C”, as it were.
About a week ago, it came to my attention that the Attorney General of Texas has ordered the Department of Public Safety to stop accepting court orders for gender marker change on a drivers license. I first saw the linked report from Erin Reed on her substack on 22-August-2024.
If you know anything about transgender healthcare, you know there’s some fairly significant gatekeeping hurdles to be overcome. That’s particularly true of gender affirming surgery.
I received a bill today for my portion of the surgery on 30-April of this year. That was the very minor surgery to implant the loop recorder under the skin of my left breast.
I was diagnosed with POTS this past November at my very first cardiologist appointment. I am not a candidate for “exercise” as a treatment due to chronic pain flares with even slight exertion.
I don’t even try to broach some of these topics. And while it’s largely “conservatives” who are behaving like this, I find that both sides are unreasonable on some topics, especially Israel and the Palestinian genocide.
A certain klutz (not naming names) fell on the stairs last night trying to carry the recycling down to the garage, and out to the outside bin. It was only the last two stairs, but I ended up almost upside down.
