At this point, I am considering whether I should just shut down this blog. Being openly trans is about to get very bad.
That’s the whole message.

You have to do what makes you feel safe. There are a lot of people who are going to have to think long and hard about how much longer, and how much, and what content, is going to get blogged. Trans people are going to be the low-hanging fruit, I’m afraid (literally and empathetically.) Well, along with all those US military generals who are in some deep doodoo come next year…. but you know what I mean. I know we’ll all support your decision, and it’s yours, to be based on your all-around well-being. There are likely some options that may not have occurred to you yet. This whole thing is a lot to absorb; fortunately there is some time yet to deal with it all.
How did things shake out in your state? Is it worse, or the same, or maybe better?

Pennsylvania went all in for Trump. Repub senator has slight lead but not yet called. House of Representative races are 7 and 7 so far

That makes it pretty much the same as I understand it. Realize that I haven’t been here all that long to have anything to compare to.

And your state and local offices? That will make a difference for a while, too. The WH and US leg can’t change everything regarding states’s authority; it’s going to have to go through channels, then courts. I mostly worry about you getting medical care. I worry about all of us getting medical care, honestly, but I worry about you getting it.
That’s right, you really haven’t been there so very long, but it sure seemed as if you felt at home, with the previous left behind you. sigh

I am not feeling at home. That was me trying to convince myself.
It’s zip 15010. Feel free to check on those races. I fear I would not be happy to know, and I am exhausted right now.

I asked. State and local are undetermined yet. Count is still in progress as of this morning.

I’m renewing my passport next week, and changing the gender marker on it. I’ve abandoned plans to get my name change, for now.

Thanks. Mostly I was wondering for your sake, if you had/gpt a state legislature and local government that will protect people for a while or longer, even in the face of whatever national laws may arise. I’ll go look at that. I hope you’re feeling at least a little better, physically, today, Janet!

If I’m being honest, the rash is spreading, and that’s making me feel worse.

Well, that’s definitely understandable. It’s nigh impossible to be comfortable with a rash. Oh, Janet, I wish I could do more for you, and for everyone. sigh

Also, I read the story. I may use that for a post, too. It doesn’t sound positive for what I was hoping, but I like the spirit of organizing now for the next round.
