Well, actually, a townhome. But we have an address again. Just Vanessa and I. We pay the rent, utilities, etc. We will furnish it. We finally got our belongings out of storage and back in our possession.
We own too much for the size of this place, so I’m expecting some winnowing to occur. Several items I consider necessary apparently disappeared from our storage unit in the 10 or so months they resided there. Notably, a brand new office chair is among the missing items. I work from home, as my followers are no doubt aware. So that’s acutely missed and will be replaced as funds permit.
Our townhome is part of a fairly large gated community. Most packages are left with the guard at the entrance. That’s not optimal, in my opinion, as someone with chronic health issues. Having to walk (no car, remember) to the property entrance, rather than doorstep/mailbox delivery, is a bit of a struggle.
That said, I will allow that the exercise might be good for me. And there’s a community pool, should I ever choose to avail myself. So that’s another possible exercise option.
Mail is delivered centrally. That location is about half the distance of the property entrance. Fun fact: I picked up mail from our box on Friday for the first time, and by Tuesday, couldn’t remember which box was ours. Long weekend, you know. The box markings are confusing, and totally unrelated to the actual address where we now live.
It’s a start on the way back to normalcy. And I’ll take that any day, and call it progress.

OK, I think I see what happened. I was reading blog entries from before I started following. I was feeling really badly about having missed all that, and I left a comment on a good photo of you.
