Lughnasadh is a time to celebrate first-harvest, and for the Celts, the end of summer. Not so much on the end of summer here in Southeast Texas, I’m sorry to say. I think I will try my hand at a version of beer-bread for the holiday!

Blessed Lughnasadh is a great day for feasting indeed. We modern day Celts would do well to remember our ancestors and at least think about what Lughnasadh meant to those ancestors a thousand years ago. Even in western Oklahoma I see the apples ready for harvest and the grain(wheat) harvested. Why we even have mead ready to celebrate!

Now that gives me a good idea. Mead-Bread. I’ll have to try that out sometime soon. Thanks, Timothy, for commenting, and Blessed Be!
