The Discrimination Amendment, and for those who don’t know the process….

Constitutional Amendment Process.

For one thing, the President has no role in the process. None. Can you spell political ploy? Can you see through a clear attempt to deflect from the illegal invasion of Iraq, and the total absence of WMD’s?

If they even manage the 2/3 majority of both houses to get this nonsense going, I can’t believe that 38 states will ratify it. And if 38 states do ratify it, it will be the second time in history that the Constitution was amended to limit civil rights. Anyone remember 18th Amendment? Prohibition? That worked so well didn’t it?

The purpose of the US Constitution, as stated in the Preamble:


We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.


“Blessings of Liberty”. Hmmm…. So we are apparently headed back to the time when Liberty is for the few. What next? Shall we repeal womens’ right to vote? Or perhaps we should just admit that this country is becoming a Xtian theocracy.
