Join the call for Rumsfeld to resign…

12 May

The images of abuse in a U.S. run Iraqi prison couldn’t be more disturbing.

Disturbing too is that Donald Rumsfeld and the Department of Defense knew about this and didn’t take immediate action and didn’t even inform the leaders in Congress. John Kerry has called for Donald Rumsfeld to resign — and the Kerry Campaign is asking us to show support for his decision by endorsing his statement here:

I did — and you should too.

“Bush Administration Accused of Manufacturing the News”

Online Newspaper article from Scotland*

Apparently, the Medicare prescription benefit was not getting enough good press. Anyone ever see Wag the Dog? If you haven’t seen that movie, you should. If you have, tell me this story isn’t reminiscent thereof.

*This news story originates from the UK, via “The Press Association”. I really don’t know if that is equivalent to our AP or if it’s yellow journalism. However, these days, I trust the overseas press more than our own.

Apparently, the truth is starting to come out slowly.

Click here for CBS’ 60 Minutes, Richard Clarke, and the non-existent connection between Iraq and the 9/11 attack.

Among other things Clarke, Clinton and Bush’s former White House terrorism adviser, said, was this gem:

“Frankly, I find it outrageous that the president is running for re-election on the grounds that he’s done such great things about terrorism. He ignored it. He ignored terrorism for months, when maybe we could have done something to stop 9/11. Maybe. We’ll never know.”

Yes, Clarke is promoting a book.
