It’s well into the afternoon of the third day of 90+ F (32+ C) temps with no air conditioning. I’ve just taken a cold shower to try to alleviate the obvious heat stress I’m experiencing. It doesn’t seem to have made much difference.
I’m wearing the least clothing I can get away with at this point. My mind is foggy, and my typing is a bit erratic. Clearly it’s kicked me into a fibro flare today.
The good news is the necessary parts to repair the AC arrive today. Of course, it will probably take a good 12-18 hours to get back to a bearable temperature, even once the repairs are complete. I am so tired of being sick all the time. I feel like such a failure as a human being.
First world problems, I know. The journey continues.
=======
Edit to add: AC was restored at about 8:40pm. By morning, the temperature inside should be once again under conscious control.
It isn’t a human failing! It’s a condition over which humans have no control. I’m glad to hear your AC could be working, we’ll say soon,. I hope you have enough, and can maybe keep a dish or pan of ice water close, so you can dip a cloth into it to dab on yourself? It sounds like a small thing, but it really helps. I say keep a dish close; I understand you don’t want to track to the kitchen every 20-30 minutes to get cool water.
Oh, well. I’m really chatty today. I’ll sign off. I know you know how to take care of you! All the best for you being sent into the universe for you!

Thanks Ali. I fell asleep shortly after posting that. I’m feeling a bit better now. The temperature has dropped just a bit.
