Because the Keenes are just one of a growing number of Nazi families who have joined the racist group, the NSM (National Socialist Movement).
The group in question is sadly misnamed. There is nothing at all socialist about Nazi beliefs. The NSM is actually neo-Fascist in nature.
It is a common misconception that Nazism is/was socialist, due to the misnomer of the original Nazi Party (National Socialist German Workers’ Party). The original Nazi Party was fascist, not socialist. Socialism is an economic-political theory based on worker ownership of the means of production. It has absolutely nothing to do with white power racism.
Nazism was, and still is, “a variety of fascism that involved biological racism and anti-Semitism.”1 Fascism is a political approach based entirely on central authority and authoritarianism. “Fascists seek to organize a nation on corporatist perspectives, values, and systems such as the political system and the economy.” Add the white power racism into the mix, throw in a dash of anti-Semitism, and you have Nazism.
The thing that always amazes me about Nazis is that they seem to believe they are empowering themselves, when in reality, just like the Tea Party, all they are doing is empowering their corporatist fat-cat leaders. Authoritarianism and socialism are about as far apart as Hitler and Martin Luther King Jr.
In case there was ever any doubt, I prefer Martin Luther King Jr.
