Barbara has now spent a little over 24 hours in the SNF. It’s different. She realized today that part of why it was making her uncomfortable was that she had become comfortable with the hospital setting. The SNF is more home like. It’s not a hospital. And that was making her uncomfortable.
Once she realized that, she knew she needed to adjust her POV. She spent about an hour sitting up out of bed today, and made her first attempt at the rehab gym. It was not as successful as she hoped. But it was an effort, and a valiant one. I’m proud of her for the attitude adjustment and the effort.
We are going home. This will happen. Count on it.
