I feel your pain. These are certainly issues of great importance now. As I wrote here, this nation needs to examine its priorities. That examination needs to begin now. Yes, we have a failed president driving this nation into militaristic empire building. Yes, he will be there in office for another 870 days.
But we the people don’t have to wait that long to take back this nation. There is an election in November. You, and everyone you know, should vote in that election. Consider the issues that matter to you, and vote according to those issues. If your incumbent does not represent your values, then vote for someone who does.
I could go partisan here, and tell you that the issues that seem to matter to you are traditional Democrat issues. That would add nothing to the discourse though. What matters is that you look at the candidates, and their positions on your issues. Vote for the candidate most closely aligned with your values.
But more importantly, VOTE. Far too few “Citizens” do vote. The ones that do are seldom informed on the issues or the candidates’ stand on those issues. They vote straight party tickets, and they get the exact government they deserve.
